Valentines munch not credit crunch

February 14th, 2009

Firstly let me wish you all a very Happy Valentines be it home made cards and garden plucked flowers or going the whole hog to impress, we hope love is in the air.
Some exciting places worth a visit are listed below but be smart and book. With Belfast racing up the ranks as one of the most romantic cities in Europe we expect it to he busy despite the credit crunch.
So, why not try Mal Bar for a classy atmosphere or if the money streches, enjoy a cocktail in the impressive bar at The Merchant.
Nicks warehouse is always a good bet and aware of the strain we are all under, they are being wise about the selection of meats and in doing so they pass the savings on to you. I think they have been watching Ramsey.

So guys, grab a rose, stick on your best gear and take your beautiful partner out for a wonderful and romantic night in Belfast.

Belfast to Dublin a great deal

February 10th, 2009

I know the idea is to keep you in Belfast. Get you to Belfast pubs, restaurants and to have you spend time in this great city but this is too good a deal. To help you all get over the blues of this Credit Crunch, why not take a day trip to Dublin. For just over £30 return (less I think if you book online and 72 hours in advance, note, you can not book online less than 72 hours, weird) and a 2 hour train journey, you will arrive in the heart of Dublin. I have also found that the hotels are offering amazing deals to reel in the punters. So go for it, go for a day, spend a night, but make sure you come back.

Great Shopping in Belfast

February 9th, 2009

Victoria SquareYes you heard it, go shopping and what better place than Belfast. We are fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) to be surround by many many wonderful shops and excuses to part with our hard earned cash. The jewel in the crown for the city has to be the wonderful Victoria Square development. Among other stores it is host to the mecca that is an Apple store, yes we have one of those. The top floor is adorned with restaurants and a fantastic domed viewing gallery that provide breathtaking views of the city. I am sure we will have more and more to say about particular stores, events and bargains to be found so for now, put a tick in that box you have on your selection criteria for shopping, book your flight and come on over to Belfast.
